NUS offers a range of scholarships and financial assistance schemes to support outstanding students pursuing postgraduate studies. Funding opportunities are available for eligible Master's by Coursework, Master's by Research and PhD students through university-administered awards as well as external sponsors.

Research students may also be considered for prestigious awards such as the NUS Research Scholarship and the President's Graduate Fellowship, alongside many other discipline-specific scholarships. Eligibility, benefits and application requirements vary by programme.

The NUS Young Fellowship Programme (NUS YFP) is an exclusive programme designed for outstanding final year(s) undergraduate students who are passionate about graduate studies and research. Organised by the NUS College of Design and Engineering, NUS Graduate School and the NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education, the programme provides participants with a unique opportunity to experience NUS through research seminars, workshops, faculty interactions, laboratory visits and project work centred around cutting-edge themes such as Artificial Intelligence and graduate research.

Besides programme fees being fully funded, selected participants enjoy complimentary on-campus accommodation and travel support, making it an exceptional opportunity to explore graduate education at one of the world's leading universities, and make new friends from top universities around the world.

The Internship and Research Immersion in Singapore (IRIS) programme at NUS is a fully funded international research programme organised by the NUS Graduate School. Open to exceptional undergraduate and master's students from around the world, IRIS offers a two- to three-month immersive research experience under the mentorship of NUS faculty members.

Participants work on real research projects in world-class laboratories and research groups, gain valuable hands-on experience, receive a monthly stipend, travel allowance and complimentary on-campus accommodation, while experiencing life and research at NUS.
